Entrepreneurship in my DNA

Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, I was exposed early on to the highs and lows of starting a business. As a child, I began with a simple candy stand and later in college, I launched Food Bazar, a food delivery app. Although this startup only lasted for half a year, it provided me with valuable lessons. I learned how to effectively identify market needs, start with a minimum viable prototype, and create value for customers. These insights have equipped me with the knowledge necessary to build a successful venture and will guide me in the next phase of my entrepreneurial journey.

'Mi Dulce Hogar': Beyond Business

The real shift came with my next startup I founded "Mi Dulce Hogar." An app where people could schedule a reliable home cleaning service as we directly employed the cleaning workers, providing them with legal benefits and job stability. But this startup was different for me. It was not just a platform that would benefit our customers, but it would also create a significant impact on the way home workers were developing in their career and personal life through access to social security benefits, as any other job, and to constant training and development. Something that we had as part of our culture, and in which we invested a great deal of our time as a team. We not only trained our team through customer service courses, service protocols, and helping them become familiar with using technology in their day-to-day work, but we also had scholarships for them to learn everything from English and computing, even to finish their high school.

Chance to make a real difference

That experience revealed to me the true potential and power of team development within a company. This way of thinking leads to greater employee satisfaction and allows us to have success stories of people transitioning from roles such as house cleaners to office roles like customer service and training leaders for new members on the app. Showing us the power of how, through learning and training, we can transform people's lives, both professionally and personally. Having lived this for 8 years and seeing a before and after, it sparked my passion for developing team skills, and challenging my team to always look for new ways a company can achieve this, despite our growth. Our goal was to not only make our employees feel valued, but also equip them with the necessary skills to excel in their current and future roles.

The next chapter in my entrepreneurial story

But every chapter comes to an end, and in 2022, after delivering over 100,000 services and fostering employment for 800+ women in the process, I made the tough decision to step down as the CEO of Mi Dulce Hogar. After closing that chapter, I had a very clear vision. My next venture must be a company that uses the power of upskilling to allow more companies to unlock their team's potential, just as we did. But this time, on a larger scale across the entire organisation.

That's where I started thinking about what ideas I wanted to develop first to cater to the learning needs within companies. That's when Builders Studio came into the picture. Their focus on the future of work was exactly what I needed for my next entrepreneurial adventure. By aligning with them as my future partners, and validating this enormous opportunity with +130 HR leaders in the process, we created the first foundation for the current startup we're working on: Everday.

With Everday, we aim to revolutionize organizational learning and development by visualizing the current superpowers of your teams and the necessary skills needed to help them reach their next professional goals. And by aligning this with the company's goals, we can empower them by providing a lifelong learning path and accompanying them during their professional development.

With the help of Builders, we're establishing the foundation for a new way for organizations to prepare their teams for the future. Where learning becomes part of daily workflows and empowers millions to reach their full potential.

For me, this venture goes beyond business; it's personal. As a founder, my life journey has prepared and inspired me to lead this initiative, merging technology and learning to empower organizations and teams. We envision a future where skill-based organizations value soft skills, embrace continuous learning, and encourage collaboration among diverse teams.
